AS A PHOTOGRAPHER

Hi everyone, my name is Sierra Tate.

My shooting philosophy is to make your pictures as close to your every day life as possible. I truly believe that being in the moment and capturing a scene is far more important than making it picture perfect. It is so easy to get caught up in social media and the beautiful, "perfect" moments of other people's lives. I think the mundane details of our lives are truly the building blocks of beautiful moments. How you intertwine fingers with each other, where your hands lay when you hug your person, the looks of assurance and security you give each other in a crowded place, the way your toddler holds your finger instead of your hand, and the crookedness of their smile when they are genuinely happy. These are the things you want to remember about your connections with people.

Every day and every life is beautiful, we just have to be accepting of the beauty in the seemingly boring details of life.

My goal with our session is to encourage real life moments that tell your story.
